Spanish for kids, the playful way

All Play & Learn games can be played in Spanish, read aloud by the same natural voice. Whether your family lives in Spain, your child has Spanish-speaking grandparents, or you simply want Spanish to be part of playtime, your child hears Spanish words about animals, colors, numbers and feelings. No reading is needed, and it is meant as playful extra exposure, not a course.

Questions parents ask

Is my child too young for Spanish?

The games are made for children aged 3 to 7. Young children seem to pick up languages easily and quickly, and hearing two languages does not confuse them. At this age, it is simply about hearing another language while playing, with no pressure and no expected results.

Does my child need to read?

No. Everything is read aloud in Spanish, so your child only listens, taps and plays.

Will my child become fluent?

Play & Learn is not a language course and can’t promise fluency. It adds playful time with Spanish, next to family, school, songs and books.

Tips for parents

  1. Repeat a word like “rojo” or “tiburón” after the voice. The “r” at the start of “rojo” is rolled, so have fun trying it together.
  2. If your child goes to a Spanish escuela infantil or calls grandparents in Spanish, play topics they can talk about afterwards, such as Los colores or Los dinosaurios.
  3. Keep it short and happy: one game is plenty. Stop while your child still wants more.
