Counting and number games
Counting is more than saying the numbers in order. Children learn to count each thing once, to know that the last number tells how many, and to match a number to an amount. These games practise all three, one step at a time.
Counting to 20
- Counting up to 20 things, and counting on from ten
- Seeing 11 to 19 as ten and some more, for example 14 is ten and four
- The number words from eleven to twenty
